The Verner Awards Gala Wednesday evening and the presentation at the Statehouse Thursday made for a memorable week! Kudos to The SC Arts Commission folks who really made this a special and meaningful event. Thanks to Rep. Laurie Funderburk and Sen. Vincent Sheheen , my state representatives, for presenting me in the House chambers and also to Speaker Bobby Harrell for his humorous introduction.
And, yes, the bronze statuette award is heavy- really heavy!
