   We are supposedly disqualified from this funding because we cut higher education. Isn’t that wonderful? Gut university funding at the expense of thousands of students’ financial future to save a little money, lose more money as a result. It’s a lose-lose situation!

   Zais probably wouldn’t apply for it even if we did, though. He’s too afraid of “federal influence”. Yeah, we’re bottom of the barrel when it comes to education, clearly the last thing we need is “influence”, right?

   Kevin, I disagree. Federal ANYTHING is the last thing this state needs. Quit building these taj mahalls for the little darlings…..and put the money IN the classrooms where it’s needed. Zais is smarter than you think.
