   Humorous cartoon, but I continue to question whether money is the answer to our education problems. In how many elections is education a main issue? Most all of them. Education pundits are always seeking more money for more programs, and better salaries to keep better teachers. I am not opposed to paying our teachers well - they deserve it much more than our overpaid athletic coaches! But more money or new programs or the latest technology will not solve the problem. Why not try accountability - not only of teachers, but also of parents and students - and responsibility, and discipline, and some old-fashioned “reading, writing, and arithmetic?”
