This was reprinted in The New York Times this past Sunday- my first time in that paper. Maybe now that they’ve discovered me, I hope they’ll publish my work some more.

How does reprinting work? Was the Times reprinting your cartoon a surprise to you? Can they reprint more of your work without an agreement extending beyond the one cartoon? Are you getting compensated for this appearance in the Times?
Here’s hoping the Times picks up some more of your images.

Congratulations, Robert! You’ve been discovered!
Now, don’t be gettin’ all up in the air and forget the topics here. We need the levity to keep some balance in this lunatic asylum!
Besides, the NYT don’t understand SC politics. But then again, sometimes, neither do I!
Again, Congrats! Its long overdue!

Thanks Jim and a. I get compensated through my syndicate when a publication like the Times reprints my cartoon. But I never know in advance when a regular client or one like the Times publishes my work.
