Jim Sloan’s comment a week or so back on the Big Fish cartoon inspired this cartoon. It’s been sitting on my drawing board ever since - getting bumped for more pressing cartoons- but I think it’s still relevant.

With the anniversary of the oil rig blowout in the Gulf, NBC has been broadcasting interviews with several people in the Grand Isle, LA area. One was a long-time Cajun shrimp fisherman who’s family has been in the business for nearly five decades.
When asked about whether he had stopped eating Gulf shrimp, his reply was, “I tried to stop for ’bout a week but couldn’t stand it. I figured I’d take my chances with some local Gulf shrimp with oil in dar heads or Norhtwest Pacific shrimp that glow in the dark!”
Think he knows something the EPA and Nuclear Regulatory Commission don’t?
