As long as the state continues to cut funding to colleges, they will continue to raise tuition. 8 long years of Sanford hasn’t helped, and 4 more years of Haley will only make it worse. Her “job creation plan” is to cut corporate income tax, a move that likely -won’t- create any significant number of jobs. Will colleges face more cuts if that tax is eliminated?
Somehow, I don’t think making college more expensive is going to paint a bright future for young adults, and I don’t think it is going to help unemployment. South Carolina needs a new direction.
