   It doesn’t matter what the President does about this mess he was left, he is not going to make everyone happy. I think we should leave both Iraq & Afghanistan - the sooner the better. I’m not so sure risking 30,000 more brave lives is really going to make a difference in either area. The longer we are there the longer they will depend on US. If the people of both countries are not going to take a stand and take control of their countries, our being there will have limited impact now and after we leave.

   Kelly, I think you make a good point. I’m hoping this new surge will make a difference, but I’m afraid it won’t. Maybe more drones and less boots on the ground is a better plan. Besides, I think we should go after the terrorists wherever they are and forget about nationbuilding in Afghanistan.

   Yeah, this should be an interesting before becoming president and after presidency picture comparison.

   I agree on the drone situation, less cost, and less casualty count. I think the drones should be designed in a way that promotes a lower calibur projectile with an accurate impact point in order to kill the intended target instead of wiping out entire villages though, cutting civilian casualties in hostile regions.
