Robert Ariail - This is an about face from your Sept 10th, 11th & 12th cartoons, is it not? Why the turn around regarding Joe Wilson?
Regardless, love your stuff as I can attest you parody both sides of the aisle with equal enthusiasm. Sorry The State let you go, I miss your stuff early in the AM over a good cup of java.
Best wishes landing with another paper soon.
Phantom 1,
I don’t think that’s exactly an about face. My intent with the “Fitting Punishment” cartoon is to point out that Wilson’s behavior was not unlike that of an unruly and rude child and should be treated accordingly with some “Time Out.”
I really hope you have something good for all this nonsense about it being a racist remark. Carter and all these other politicians are way out of line by jumping to conclusions and making this into a race issue. Is everyone going to be labeled racist now if there is a disagreement with the President?
I agree, Matthew, that Carter and others are out of line saying Joe Wilson is racist. If I can come up with an idea that says that I will.
Racism has nothing to do with my opposition to Obamas and the direction he is leading America. My being raised in an era when family values and the sacredness of life were of the utmost importance fashioned me into diehard conservative, and Obama is as far away from conservatism as one can be. Had Alan Keyes been on the ballot, I would have gladly voted for him. Character knows no color.
