Thanks Robert for saying what the state legislators have turned a deaf ear to. Since Sanford won’t listen to the rest of us citizens of SC, maybe he’ll get the message from you. I have lost complete faith in the republican party because the gov.’s behavior and the republican party condoning it. He is still acting as if he is better than the rest of us by not resigning. If anyone else pulled these stunts of not showing up for work, they would be fired. Who has the courage to fire our governor?

Thanks Fred and Kelly,
I agree, Kelly, that the Governor should resign and I will continue to hit on this topic for some time I expect. Stay tuned…

Hi Robert
I worked at the State copy desk about 19 years ago but we didn’t know each other then. But my husband and I have followed your work, and we were very sad to hear that you and Brad were being let go. I was let go, too, all those years ago, and a wise friend told me, “You’re not anybody in this business until you’ve been fired at least once.”
I’m really glad to find your site. (Hard Googling you when I couldn’t remember how to spell your name!) I was inspired to look for you when I got an e-mail of several cartoons with the heading “Cartoonists end the honeymoon.” What the e-mailer doesn’t realize, and my dad who sent it, is that you guys have always been pretty darned independent. I just love that about cartoonists.
Well, glad I found you, and my husband will be thrilled. He misses you even more than I do. His name’s Phil.
